ESSAY COMPETITION

Karnataka Child Rights Observatory initiated state level essay competition for students by 2009. Through this KCRO to encourage university level students to observe the situation of children from child rights perspective, critique the interventions made by Government and Non-Governmental agencies and also to come out with probable practical solutions to uphold the rights of the children. KCRO- Karnataka Child Rights Observatory is holding a State Level Essay Competition for students of post-graduation studies. To extend this opportunity KCRO announced essay competition for under graduation students also in the year of 2011. Students can use this opportunity to think on current problems/challenges which children are facing and about probable actions which can be taken to combat those social problems.

Objectives:

  • Encouraging post graduate students to understand the situation of children
  • Involving the youth in exploring practical solutions to uphold rights of the children.

New topics will be chosen for essay competition . As motivation for students KCRO honoring students with the cash prize. Through this we can expect youth involvement in the field of rights of the children.
